Medical Medium recommended simple daily detox guide

The goal of this exercise is to remove fats, oils and proteins between wakeup and lunchtime for maximum detox and cleansing effect

First thing in the morning upon waking squeeze 1 lemon (or lime or both) add to 900ml to 1 litre of water. Add honey or maple syrup to taste if you like it sweeter.  Take this first thing in the morning 20-30 minutes before having celery Juice or your detox smoothie if not having celery juice.

Take between 350ml and 800ml Celery Juice each morning or as often as you are able.  Wait ½ hour for the Celery to do its work before having the morning Medical Medium Detox smoothie (below).

The following items are recommended for detoxing and removing heavy metals and toxins from the body and are best put into a Smoothie along with lots of fruit, for example frozen mango & wild blueberries (at least 1 cup), and coriander (cilantro) if you can get it, this is the most important component of a detox smoothie, also Turmeric and ginger for inflammation if required. To be taken every morning ½ hour after your Celery Juice for a detox until lunchtime.

(if you feel like you need more than just a smoothie, have fresh raw fruit during this detox period (between wake up and lunchtime) but nothing else, as this will stop the detox from being effective as the Liver likes to do a deep dive to clean out more harmful toxins, but will not do so if it knows it will be interrupted by ingesting fat or protein.

Medical Medium Morning Detox Smoothie

1-2 Bananas

1 pealed Orange

½ – 1 cup Frozen Wild Blue Berries or 2 teaspoons of Wild Blue Berry powder

Add Water, Juice or Coconut water (milks containing fat or protein will stop the liver clensing

1 Tablespoon of Atlantic Dulse (Seaweed) – 1 Teaspoon of Barley Grass Juice Powder (we recommend the Vimergy Brand) or whatever you have.

1 Teaspoon of Spirulina (we recommend the Vimergy Brand)

A bunch of Fresh Cilantro (Coriander) or juice if you have it.

Blend into a delicious smoothy and consume within the hour, if possible, for maximum potency. You may also choose to add in your favourite supplements (we prefer Vimergy because they are pure and potent formulated for this purpose.

Keeping fats and protein out of your diet will encourage your liver to detox gently and successfully so don’t be fooled by what the marketing machine says about it. You’ll also take years off your appearance and the way you feel!

Other recommended supplements that can be added to your smoothie for detoxing and to stimulate rapid healing through the reduction of deficiencies: B 12 methylcobalamin – Zinc sulphate – Magnesium Glycinate– Chaga – Reishi –  L-lysine – Lemon Balm – Ashwagandha – Licorice ( for Licorice , use it for 2 weeks on then 2 weeks off as it can accumulate in the liver if not given time to eliminate)

Excellent pain management supplements are: Magnesium – Curcumin & Turmeric – MSM & the go to supplements to assist Liver healing – are lemon Balm Nettle, Milk Thistle, Propolis Pure and Goldenseal.

Lunch Time Meal and Dinner

We recommend Snacks and salads that can be made up of Fresh fruit and vegetable, nuts and seeds, mixed beans (go sparingly on the nuts and seeds as they contain huge amounts of fats and oils) and for dried fruits, drink plenty if eating dried fruits as they dehydrate your system, these are high in fructose which is fine, but you need to stay hydrated) and any fresh fruit and vege snacks that you like. 

Avocado is an excellent spread substitute and is easy to digest and makes a good butter if you need it but never overdo it as its high in Fats and copper. Having fresh fruit, salads and veges will supply your body with nutrient dense water (co-factor water) and will act as an intestinal broom to flush out toxins from the gut lining, provided they are organic, otherwise you will be bringing more toxic sprays and heavy metals to your gut and ultimately your brin and filter organs. After detoxing until lunchtime, you can have any of the following items until the end of each day:

Any vegetables are fantastic to add bulk to your meal and are healing – and lots of potatoes, kumara, pumpkin. Don’t buy into the Nightshade toxin theory (Night shades Grow at Night and have no toxins in the fruit or veg once they are ripe) Consume at least 2 salads per day:  fruit salads and vegetable salads put chopped finely broccoli and cauliflower in your vege salads (can make a guacamole as a dressing using avocados,  lemon juice, salt, pepper & garlic mashed up together)

You can also have the following foods:

  • Millet – Lentils -Beans – Oats
  • As many fresh Fruit & Veges as possible! (Including Potato, Kumara and Pumpkin)
  • Coconut sugar – maple syrup – honey
  • Nuts and seeds (not roasted and salted) – keep these to a minimum
  • Dried fruit (any, but make sure none have added sugar or sulphites)
  • Coconut & coconut milk powder (the one we sell is creamy and delicious)
  • Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, Oat Milk (oat milk is the best one as low fats)

You must avoid the following foods if you want to heal, as these feed the viruses, pathogens and bacteria and also slow down your healing and stop your body from detoxing effectively:

  • Eggs
  • Reduce Meat to very minimal and don’t eat fish due to the, now high, mercury content
  • Dairy – milk, cream, cheeses, feta, ice cream, yoghurt
  • Gluten – breads, rice, grains (even so-called gluten free grains and cakes & biscuits
  • Pre – pressed Fats & Oils even if they are considered good. Especially don’t cook with them including coconut oil.
  • Proteins and protein shakes etc
  • Refined sugars and processed foods
  • Coffee, Matcha & Chocolate
  • Miso, Tofu, Tempeh, Sauerkraut, Kombucha, Kefir, pickled foods, Yeast Flakes, all Vinegars, yoghurt, Balsamic and Aminos Sauces.
